Hut Hire
Our Guide Hut is available to hire for community groups or private events. Whether you run an exercise class or need a location for a childrens birthday party, the Guide hut offers a versatile and practical space for your needs. Girlguiding units can also hire the hut for overnight residential stays.
Guide Hut Facilities
Kitchen
Fully equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven, under counter fridge, microwave and kettles. Serving hatch into main hall. Small first aid kit.
Main Hall
Bright and airy space, approximately 9 x 10 metres. 90 chairs and 10 tables available for use. Drop-down projection screen.
Toilets
Girls toilets with changing space, two sinks and two toilet cubicles. Separate accessible toilet for adults, males and anyone with mobility difficulties.
Facilities for Girlguiding Users
Pauling Geering Room
A fully equipped leaders room for residential events. Two bunk beds sleeping four total, a hot drinks station, a small fridge, chest of drawers and bedside tables.
Ranger Room
A secondary room off the main hall, which can be used for breakout groups, leaders meetings or a quiet space. Includes a sofa that converts to a double bed for use for extra leaders or young volunteers during residentials.
Stores
A well equipped store room including a variety of games equipment, board games, extra catering equipment, a projector trolley and a flipchart.
